For
information about ELTC Symposium
for Language Teacher Educators
please contact eltcinfo@ed.ac.uk.
ELTC
Symposia aim to provide a forum
in which language teacher educators
can report on research, explore
ideas, update themselves on
current developments and, in
general, share their professional
interests with others in a friendly
and informal atmosphere. The
maximum number of participants
(who come from all over the
world) is normally about 50,
with about 30 of these presenting
papers.
Our most recent Symposium,
entitled 'Teaching Languages
for Academic Purposes' took
place in November 2006.
Our plenary speakers were Olwyn
Alexander (Heriot-Watt University),
George Braine (Chinese University
of Hong Kong) and Peter Grundy
(University of Northumbria).
Further information regarding
theme and the call for papers
will be published here.
