I
am a lecturer at ELTC, where
I have worked since 1982. I
teach, write and direct various
courses in English as a Foreign
Language, including courses
for teachers. I lecture on the
MSc in Language Teaching, and
supervise PhD students in this
field. My main research interests
are in classroom processes,
language testing and teaching
literature in a second language.
I am the editor of Edinburgh
Working Papers in Applied Linguistics
(EWPAL).

From 1978-82 I was a Research
